Drawing and Illustration Class - Week 3
Drawing and illustration class this week was about scale and perspective. I'm learning as a go through the weeks that I do not have the patience for really accurate drawing, although it is really good to learn some techniques for drawing more accurately.
The homework is to research artists and illustrators we like for a project next week which is to design a stamp to celebrate Yorkshire Day based on food and drink.

Re Vamp - Dining Room
I get itchy feet to redecorate pretty regularly, however living in a rented house means it's not always cost effective to keep decorating so I decided to have a little restyle in a couple of the rooms instead. Here is the link to the previous blog on the dinning room.
I painted the chairs in the dinning room white and put a rug down, recovered the chair in the corner and dotted a few new plants around. It's given the room a much brighter, cleaner look.

Favourite Designer of the Week - Wendy Kendall
Wendy Kendall
Wendy Kendall is an amazing surface pattern designer. As much as I love her designs, I also take massive inspiration from her super sleek website and self marketing. Her designs are always popping up on my Pinterest feed and her I always admire their great layout and visual flow.

Drawing and Illustration Class - Week 2
Week two at my drawing and illustration class was based on shading and watercolour.
We learnt some various shading techniques and then did some watercolours, the subject being biscuits.
This is some of the worksheets we were given for inspiration.
Homework was to do an illustration of a recipe. I did a recipe card of my delicious raspberry and vanilla scones.
