Hello, I’m Emily, the middle of the three sisters. I’m married to a very lovely man called Paul and we have a daughter, Millie, who was born in the summer of 2013. As you can imagine my current daily routine is very baby centred and for now I’m absolutely loving just letting her be my main focus, watching her grow and learn new things on an almost daily basis is amazing.

Apart from being a mummy, my heart lies in design. I studied Design Marketing at university and from there side stepped into a career in the arts. I’ve worked for 8 years in the North East of England, creating art projects that team professional artists with local communities on issue based subjects. I’ve absolutely loved my time doing this, I’ve met some amazingly creative people and made some friends for life. When we moved back to North Yorkshire in 2012 I made the decision to go part time so I could pursue some freelance opportunities and chase the dream of doing some professional design work, particularly interiors. Millie has allowed me the time to assess what I want from a career and so for now I’m not planning to return to Arts Development. Instead I’d like to concentrate on some of my own design work and I hope to share my journey on this blog.

For me this blog is about starting a new chapter. I love working with my sister, it’s great to have another creative to bounce ideas off (and very helpful that she lives three doors down) and I’m excited about documenting the journeys we are both on, as sisters, partners and individuals.
